The Navigator is responsible for the safe Navigation in Arctic conditions. Preperation is the key for reaching the goal of the Navigator. During the Expedition the Navigator advises the Skipper in reaching the mission goals and ensuring the safety of the Crew. Oliver will als be the responsible Meteorology Officer on Arctic Ocean Raptors South Expedition and is therefore responsible for all weather advisory on board. He will organize and analyze wind and weather forecasts 400 miles away from the next coastline in the middle of the North Polar Sea. This is a region where it is normal that you find sunny calm seas and snowstorms with 11 Bft of wind within the hour.
